Welcome to Hockey Is Life.

I am Adam Kroetsch, the owner-operator of www.hockeyislife.com

Hockey is Life was created out of my absolute Love & Passion for the game. For as long as I can remember, I have always been a diehard hockey fan. I grew up in Kitchener, Ontario and like so many other Canadian kids, I lived for mini sticks, street hockey, pond hockey, hockey cards, Blades of Steel, Coach Bombay, 6am practices and, of course, Hockey Night in Canada!!

But hockey is more than a hobby… for me: HOCKEY IS LIFE.

It was the one thing I could count on when my family and I moved. Being the "new kid" didn’t matter as long as I had my mini stick. No matter what school I ended up at, there were always familiar faces from Minor Hockey to help ease the transition.

As a kid playing Kitchener Minor Hockey, I had the same dream as everyone else: making it to the NHL. I was a goaltender until I was 18, when I realized I wasn't going to play in "The Show" and had enough pucks shot at me for a lifetime. I'm now happy to play beer league hockey 2-3 days a week and can't complain about the pops with the boys afterwards.

But my love of hockey doesn’t end there. As a proud fulltime dad to my ten year-old son, I am happy to see him play Major Atom House League and Select Hockey. I am also happy to be entering my 2nd year of coaching. I enjoy being behind the bench and being able to pass on the skills I've learnt while teaching the kids about teamwork and having fun.
